Sunday Reflections – Our Heavenly Father Loves Me (Valentine’s Day Special)
Happy Valentine’s Day!
Or, maybe not…
Whenever I hear the song of a bird
Or look at the blue, blue sky,
Whenever I feel the rain on my face
Or the wind as it rushes by,
While Valentine’s Day for many is a day of love and romance, for many it is not. Maybe it’s because they don’t have a dedicated love interest in their life. Or maybe it’s because they simply don’t feel love.
Maybe this person is you.
Whenever I touch a velvet rose
Or walk by our lilac tree,
I’m glad that I live in this beautiful world
Heav’nly Father created for me.
However you feel love in your life, or struggle to feel it, we want to share our love for you. More importantly, we want to share with you the gift of the love of our Heavenly Father and our Savior Jesus Christ.
Their love is all around us, even in the “song of a bird” and in the “blue, blue sky” as Clara W. McMaster writes her beautiful song “My Heavenly Father Loves Me.”
He gave me my eyes that I might see
The color of butterfly wings.
He gave me my ears that I might hear
The magical sound of things.
This song is one of Elisa’s most favorite of all time. We hope you enjoy her beautiful performance of this arrangement by Brent Jorgensen.
He gave me my life, my mind, my heart:
I thank him rev’rently
For all his creations, of which I’m a part.
Yes, I know Heav’nly Father loves me.
Have a beautiful Sunday. We love you!
