Monday Morning Boost: Perfectly Imperfect Moms & Dads
The best moms and dads are perfectly imperfect. They stumble and they get back up. They screw up and they get back up.
They try one technique, then another, give up, then try again.
They love completely even though they sometimes wonder if their actions truly echo their heart.
They stay up late, helping a child, or worrying about a child. They drop to their knees in prayer and stand strong in support.
They wonder how they can ever do all that needs to be done, but then go about every day doing what needs to be done.
At the end of the day, exhausted and totally drained, they wonder if they made a difference.
Then the morning comes. And in the midst of all the craziness of starting a new day, getting kids out the door, and getting yourself started, something incredible takes place…
A new dawn appears.
And with the new dawn, a new sense of hope, courage, confidence, optimism, and excitement!
Even if all you want to do is turn around and go back to bed, and even if sometimes you do, life still starts anew once again.
I dare say my friends, you are a perfectly imperfect mom, a perfectly imperfect dad, a perfectly imperfect you.
And that’s exactly what your kids need.
Have a great Monday! Thanks for letting me share.
And, yes, I love you!
Les

Join me for a wonderful Red Edge Live conversation with Leta Greene as she shares how her efforts have created a “ripples of change” combined movement to bless the Native American members of the Jeddito “island” community in Arizona. One of the families in Jeddito just happens to be Leta’s sister Geraldine Begay-Yazzie. Click the image below to catch the replay of last week’s Red Edge Live.
