Monday Moring Boost: My Greatest Fear…

Monday Moring Boost: My Greatest Fear…

I have been granted the gift of life. My heart that tried to stop working daily for seven weeks has been repaired and is functioning well. My lungs that did stop working when a blood clot showed up are healing as my blood flows as it should.

My greatest fear is that I will forget this miraculous gift.

History is full of proof, from individuals to complete civilizations, we are quick to forget such miraculous experiences.

The gift of life is so precious that I don’t want to forget. Ever.

“I DON’T WANT TO LOSE ANYTHING”

William Shatner spoke well the words my heart has felt.

Upon his return from space aboard Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin rocket (this time going as himself versus Captain Kirk’s bold fantasy to “go where no man had gone before”), Shatner, in a voice quivering with emotion, boldly declared what this experience was like for him:

“What you have given me is the most profound experience I can imagine. I am so filled with emotion about what just happened. It’s extraordinary. Extraordinary. I hope I never recover from this. I hope I can maintain what I feel now. I don’t want to lose anything.”

I feel the same. I never want to recover from this experience of life renewed. I want to maintain this deep gratitude I feel. I don’t want to lose anything.

A SILENT NIGHT FORGOTTEN

The greatest gift the world has ever known was born on a silent night in a small town.

While we still celebrate this glorious gift today, I do fear the day may come when materialism will fully overtake spiritualism, when cultural divisiveness will replace mutual respect and love, and the profane will become the new norm and the sacred will be treated as evil.

If we are never to forget this most sacred gift, we must individually seek past the Santa Claus level of Christmas, deeper than the birth of a baby born on a silent night, and discover the “reason for the season” is the eternal gift of life beyond the moment and beyond this mortal life.

Such is the reason I have faith my greatest fear of forgetting the gift of life I have received is mostly unfounded.

Such is the reason I love life, I love Christmas, and I love you.

Merry Christmas my friends!

Thanks my friends for letting me share! Have a beautiful Monday!
