Monday Morning Boost: Two Years of Miracles
Yesterday marked two years since my first ER visit for my heart. And it marks the beginning of the many miracles over the next seven weeks that kept me alive while we figured out what was going on, eventually resulting in open heart surgery for a triple artery bypass procedure (as you can see in the photo).
As I ponder and reflect, I am deeply filled with love and gratitude for God whose tender mercies allowed me to live, helped me to heal, and filled my soul with the radiating light of hope in the discouraging darkness of despair.
I continue to be blessed by many skilled doctors and medical professionals who monitor my heart and lungs, adjust medicine as needed, and guide my healing journey.
Elisa and our beautiful children have been my ultimate cheerleaders. They, along with many other family members, friends, and neighbors have been an encouraging source of help, confidence, and hope on this healing journey of the heart. They have also been a huge blessing on the emotional and spiritual healing journey of the heart as they continually encourage me to live my promise to “Get back up, every time, no matter what.”
And to you…
To you who read my words, who follow my journey of the heart, who continue to pray for me, and who cheer me on, even in a very quiet voice…
I am forever grateful.
I will forever love you.
I will forever be your friend.
Thanks for letting me share. Have a beautiful Monday.
I love you!
Les
