What Courage Means to Me
Memorial Day is our time as a nation to remember those who have gone before. Specifically, it’s our time to remember those who have given their lives in service to our country.
Cemeteries come to life with scented flowers and fluttering flags. Families gather to remember. History is shared. Connections are remembered.
I wrote this little poem a couple years ago as we placed flowers on family graves in the Logan City Cemetery –
Flowers remember
a moment in time
a loved one cherished
our connecting vine.
I hope that this Memorial Day you are able to take a break from your busy schedule and spend time with your family and friends.
Our country is great because of the people who work hard to ensure our safety and freedom. None stand taller than those fallen heroes who had the courage to make the ultimate sacrifice.
Please join me in keeping those brave Americans and their families in your thoughts throughout the holiday.
Thanks for letting me share.
I welcome your thoughts if you wish to share.

Thoughts of inspiration come in many forms, and may be expressed in many ways. The collection of stories, essays, and poetry shared under Red Edge Perspective represents some of my personal efforts to Gain The Red Edge through creative expression. Thanks for letting me share.
