You Have A Choice: Dwell In Darkness Or Create The Light

We each have a choice today. And every other day. We can choose to see overwhelming challenges of life, which there are many, or we can choose to see the opportunities of life, which there are also many.

We also have another choice.

We can choose to dwell in the overwhelming darkness of challenges, which takes no effort, or we can choose to create the light of opportunity, which takes significant effort.

Either way, whichever choice we make, others will follow and be impacted.

I offer a little inspiration for your pondering, then the #PowerOfThree insights for consideration.

CREATOR OF LIGHT
By Les Patterson

My day’s been rough
Heaviness weighs on my soul
My heart wants to withdraw
I feel most out of control.

A choice I have
What to do at this time
Give in to spiraling darkness
Or own this moment of mine.

I can be true
A creator I decide to be
Finding others to lift and serve
My gift in life I now see.

Light I shall bring
A sliver of the morning sunrise
Little rays of joy and hope
Another’s world I help beautify.

Light I now find
In my own darkened world as well
A vessel richly overflowing
My heart with love doth swell.

The source of light
My soul now sees more clearly
There all along patiently biding
Brightly beams His tender mercy.

In days to come
When my path feels darkly steep
His love and light I’ll remember
Quenching my soul so deep.

#PowerOfThree insights

  1. Which choice were you feeling more inclined to make when you started today? Why?
  2. Now that you’ve pondered briefly, which choice are you now wanting to make? Why?
  3. How will you this choice impact your story and actions for today?
