Monday Morning Boost: The Greatness Of A Flawed Kobe

Monday Morning Boost: The Greatness Of A Flawed Kobe

I’ve always felt connected to “flawed individuals” who choose to step into their confidence, despite the many reasons they have not too, and find a way to make an impact in life.

Kobe Bryant was such an individual.

He was “polarizing and controversial” at times, as my friend Brendan Cannon wrote on the news of Kobe’s tragic death yesterday.

And Kobe was flawed with his share of mistakes. Though on the basketball court he was one of the superhumans, the kings of the game; in life, he was just as human as the rest of us. His humanity just happened to be thrust onto the proverbial stage of publicity.

I’m grateful for his championship attitude, his hard work and drive, and his willingness to grow. Most of all, I’m grateful in his “flawed” humanity he chose to rise each time he was knocked down.

If choosing to get back up is one of the core attributes of great people, and I passionately declare that it is, then you are also a great person!

Yes, YOU!!!

In all your human “flawness,” in all your mistake-filled life, in all your stumbling, falling, and screwing up, you are full of GREATNESS!!!

Why???

Because you keep going! That’s what Kobe did. Rule #7 (thanks Roger Copenhaver for the graphic). And you will keep going no matter what. No matter how hard it is, no matter how much you want to quit, you will keep going!

Step into your confidence and recognize my friends because you will keep going, no matter what, that is your GREATNESS!

I’m so proud of you!

Have a great Monday! Thanks for letting me share!

Les
