Sunday Reflections: Easter, He Is Risen
He who was crucified on the cruel cross of Calvary, whose lifeless body was then laid in a borrowed sepulcher, is also He who roseĀ on the third day.
He is risen! He is risen!
Tell it out with joyful voice.
He has burst his three days’ prison;
Let the whole wide earth rejoice.
Death is conquered; man is free.
Christ has won the victory.
Apostles and disciples of old proclaimed Christ had won the victory over the sting of death. Likewise, apostles and prophets who live today also testify of his atonement and His resurrection. The spirit of Christ, the Holy Ghost, has given to Elisa and me a witness of the truth of their witness.
Come with high and holy hymning;
Chant our Lord’s triumphant lay.
Not one darksome cloud is dimming
Yonder glorious morning ray,
Breaking o’er the purple east,
Symbol of our Easter feast.
We are grateful for the gift of hope found in the Easter promise. Because of Him, because of Christ, we are blessed with hope in the darkness of our trials and comfort in our heartaches, as well as glory in our successes.
He is risen! He is risen!
He hath opened heaven’s gate.
We are free from sin’s dark prison,
Risen to a holier state.
And a brighter Easter beam
On our longing eyes shall stream.
We share with you our faith and our love. We pray you may receive that part of the Gift of Easter you most need at this moment.
We love you!
