Monday Morning Boost: Celebrating Les & His Million Dreams!

Monday Morning Boost: Celebrating Les & His Million Dreams!

Hey Everyone! This is Elisa. Remember the Family Circus cartoons when Little Billy would “take over” drawing the cartoon when the creator Bill Keane was on vacation?

Today is kinda like that. It’s Les birthday, one of my favorite days of the year. It’s a day to celebrate the birth of a most extraordinary man, my sweet husband.

I want to dedicate 2 songs to Les from the movie “The Greatest Showman”.

When I saw this movie for the first time, I was intrigued by how much this story is about Les. Like Phineas Barnum, Les grew up in meager circumstances. Also like Phineas, Les was blessed with a beautiful gift of connecting with people. He celebrates the differences in people and has a gift of helping each person he connects with to discover or remember their greatness.

The first song is “A Million Dreams” from The Greatest Showman.

Les and I have spent hours talking about our dreams for the future.

“I close my eyes and I can see the world that’s waiting up for me that I call my own.”

We would talk about our dreams of being parents, building a business someday, traveling, and so much more! I always loved it, and still do love it, when Les shares his dreams with me.

Some people thought I was crazy for falling in love with Les, but I could always see his greatness and I always wanted to be by his side experiencing life with him.

For our Sunday Reflections yesterday, I shared a beautiful piano arrangement of A Million Dreams from The Greatest Showman.

COME ALIVE

The second song I want to dedicate to Les is also from The Greatest Showman, “Come Alive.”

When the world becomes a fantasy
and you’re more than you could ever be
’cause you’re dreaming with your eyes wide open.

This perfectly describes the life Les and I are living now. We are living the fantasy of the dreams we dreamt of so long ago. We are living this extraordinary life where we are seeing our dreams come true because of the hard work we have put in together to make them come true.

Happy Birthday, Les!

You have worked so hard to make your dreams and our dreams come true. You have a beautiful gift of helping others achieve their dreams as well. I love you so much! And I love experiencing the journey of life with you!

Have an extraordinary day!!!

Elisa

Hey, this is Les! Wasn’t that so cool of Elisa, especially getting little Billy to help us out!

I love Elisa!

She is my best friend, my ultimate cheerleader, my forever angel. Every day she empowers me to create my story of GREATNESS!

Have a great Monday! Thanks for letting us both share!

Les & Elisa

P.S. This is Elisa again… Please take 13 minutes today (or maybe even just 13 seconds!) to reach out to Les and wish him a happy birthday!

Few things impact the performance of leaders more than their own confidence. Self-doubt, imposter syndrome, and insecurities can shackle a leader’s ability to make important decisions, manage daily operations, and chart a path forward.

More importantly, how we view our own confidence, how we see or do not see our own greatness, we significantly impact our personal and professional relationships.

Cameron Nichols, my guest on Red Edge Live today, is a certified life coach focused on helping leaders step into their confidence in all areas of life. He can help you as a leader discover what holds you back, the role of emotions, the difference between confidence and self-confidence.
