The excitement, wonder, and fun of Christmas are magical! I love decorating the tree, wrapping presents, and singing carols. I love letters to Santa and hints from children. I love the anticipation on Christmas Eve and the enthusiasm on Christmas morning.
I love how my new heart has me feeling like a kid again!
Family traditions are wonderful parts of the magic. We love counting down the days with tiny chocolate pieces, Santa slowly dropping down a wooden chimney, and reading a story from our overflowing basket of Christmas books. I love watching the reruns of the age-old Christmas shows. My favorites are “It’s a Wonderful Life” and “Mr. Kruger’s Christmas,” both featuring Jimmy Stewart. Of course, I also love “A Charlie Brown Christmas.”
I love how my new heart feels the emotions of these traditions so much deeper!
The music of Christmas is a staple, the fun and jolly, the inspirational and sacred. Rudolph and Frosty are fun to sing. Jingle Bells and Over The River are favorites. Away In A Manger and Silent Night stir my soul.
I love how my new heart stirs my still broken voice to sing more!
Santa is very real to me. Everything he stands symbolically is something I love completely. As a child, I saw Santa Claus soaring through the sky and that was very real to me. Miracle on 34th Street is one of our favorite shows. I love how the Kris Kringle character describes himself: “I’m not just a whimsical figure who wears a charming suit and affects a jolly demeanor. You know, I… I… I’m a symbol. I’m a symbol of the human ability to be able to suppress the selfish and hateful tendencies that rule the major part of our lives. If… You can’t believe, if you can’t accept anything on faith, then you’re doomed for a life dominated by doubt.”
I love how my new heart believes even more in Santa Claus!
The story of a Babe born in a manger is the focus of Christmas. I want to be like the shepherds who followed the star and the wise men who sought Him from afar. I love the peace and joy I feel because of that wondrous, beautiful night so long ago. I love the hope that tiny miraculous night offers to the whole entire world.
I love how my new heart better believes this miraculous gift is also for me!
Christmas is magical because we believe it is magical. We keep the magic of Santa Clause alive because we believe in the magic. We keep the miracle of the Holy Child alive because we believe in the hope represented. We keep the greatness of people alive because we believe in the greatness of people. This is what makes Christmas — and life as a whole — magically wonderful!
I love how my new heart makes Christmas feel even more magical!
Thanks my friends for letting me share! Have a beautiful Monday!
I Love You!
