Red Edge Perspective: Let Your Voice Be Heard

Red Edge Perspective: Let Your Voice Be Heard

When it comes to politics it can be challenging having our voice heard, especially if we come from a small town or don’t have the opportunity to connect with political leaders.

Every city, town, and community in our beautiful state has a rich heritage, is full of hardworking people who have a voice that deserves to be heard.

in 2020 Utah will elect a new governor. The first publically declared candidate is the current Lt. Governor Spencer J. Cox.

As part of his campaign, Lt. Gov. Cox is touring the state making his way into every incorporate town. All 248 of them, according to his campaign. This week he will be in the northern Utah counties of Box Elder, Cache, and Rich.

I have had the opportunity to visit personally with Lt. Gov. Cox on two occasions. Each time he was willing to listen to my questions and provide solid answers.

I am not endorsing his candidacy nor do I know yet if he has earned my vote. I do like what I see so far and appreciate his efforts to hear our voices which I believe is much more than just a publicity stunt.

I hope to have a more in-depth conversation with Lt. Gov. Cox as a guest on #RedEdgeLive at some point during the campaign.

I invite you to come and listen, and if you feel so inclined, let your voice be heard.

Here’s his schedule this week. I plan to be to the North Logan and Hyde Park events. Find me and say hello if you are there.
