It started with a simple compliment for my friend Rob.
“You are a good man my friend!”
Rob took issue with my calling him a good man. “That’s a disappointing assessment,” he wrote, “from someone who finds greatness in so many.”
THE FOLLOWING IS MY REPLY
“Good point Rob… or should I say GREAT point… I will now eagerly clarify what it means to be a “good man.”
I am an ardent purveyor of GREATNESS. My entire personal why and professional mission is focused on “Empowering Leaders to Create A Story of GREATNESS.”
Capitalizing the word is very intentional, a strategic decision to draw attention to the word and, more importantly, to create an image of confidently standing tall in our GREATNESS.
Using the phrase “good man” is also very intentional, a legacy throwback to my father whose highest compliment was simply expressed, “He’s good people.”
Dad never worried about grammar nor about what people thought. But if he thought you were good people, he made sure I knew it.
When it comes to GREATNESS, I will continue to see your GREATNESS Rob cause you are good people.
Love you brother!
Recognizing the grammar is still not kosher, please know when it comes to GREATNESS, I will continue to see your GREATNESS cause you are good people.
Have a great Monday. Thanks for letting me share!
p.s. Take 13 minutes today to recognize the GREATNESS is the Good People in your life.
