Monday Morning Boost: Preparing to Unleash the Power Within

Monday Morning Boost: Preparing to Unleash the Power Within

It’s Monday morning and I’m headed to Salt Lake International, headed to Detroit to see my sisters and family, then to Chicago to see Tony Robbins.

Yes. That Tony Robbins.

Entrepreneur, author, life coach, and philanthropist Tony Robbins is pretty well-known around the world. I have listened to and studied some of his teachings but this will be my first time to attend an event. I’m headed to Unleash the Power Within, aka UPW.

I want to get the most out of it so I’m reaching out to you my friends. If you have attended a Tony Robbins event, or a similar event, what are your ideas and suggestions?

I’m open to practical suggestions like what to wear and bring, how early to show up, and the best way to catch a catnap.

I’m mostly interested in your suggestions for preparing myself mentally to gain the most and to give the most to those around me.

In other words, how can I best Gain the Red Edge?

So bring it on my friends. Feed me your tips, suggestions, and life hacks.

And also your encouragement…

I get to walk on fire!

FOCUS ON THE POWER OF THREE

I discovered years ago having a focus when attending a training or conference is extremely beneficial. I focus on the “Power of Three.”

Three key things to learn.
Three key people to meet.
Three key actions steps to take.

There’s a little psychology behind the Power of Three, a principle I learned years ago after adopting it as a personal focus.

“The brain finds it relatively easy to grasp threes…” writes Sean D’Souza on Psychotactics.com. “Push that marginally up to four and the brain gets confused about where to look and what to do, and sends the eye scampering like a frisky puppy on a sunny day.”

Why the scampering like a frisky puppy on a sunny day?

Sean takes us back to childhood to answer that question. “As a child, everything you did and learned seemed to be centered around three — A,B,C; 1,2,3; Three blind mice, Three Musketeers, Trinity, Three Stooges and Huey, Louie and Dewey. (Quack! Quack! Quack!)”

SUGGESTIONS

The suggestions I have received so far boil down to this:

Be a sponge and bring water and snacks that will sustain.

That’s my starting point. Now I’m counting on you. Feed me, fill me up, and inspire me. And please send a dose of courage…

I will be walking on fire!!!

SHOUT OUT

Now and then a person enters your life who blesses you beyond understanding. Such is the case of a mentor who is sponsoring my trip to Tony Robbins. We initially connected 18 years ago, and he significantly entered my life just before I deployed to Iraq in 2004.

He’s never left.

He’s been a friend, mentor, guidance counselor, and client. He loves my family as much as I do. He makes it so eazy to be his friend.

I’ll never be able to sufficiently say thanks. He says it’s not required. This is my way of saying it anyway.

Have a great Monday! Thanks for letting me share.

Les

p.s. Take 13 minutes today to focus on what you can do with the Power of Three.
